tourist, take the circle line sunset tour, its only $23 bucks, has a bar on the boat, goes around manhattan, very informational, and goes by the statue of liberty at night when it looks the coolest.
Its at the end of 42nd st. on the pier on the west side. I think its pier 82.

you haven't totally experienced new york until you've eaten a hot dog from a vendor in the street.
pizza in the west village is great too
(did you hear about the zen monk who went up to a hot dog vendor and said "make me one with everything"?)
