hi, hello.
i have just launched my new look (and new content) website: link
it is pretty late in the day for me to be launching this really and i imagine you will find loads of problems with it. if you do, please let me know......ahaha - the microsoft beta-testing model - launch it and then ask for feedback 
more important than shitty little bugs (some of which i am aware of), i'd love your comments on my shit...as the kids say...i really value what people on here think. not to the extent that i would top myself if you hate it like....but i probably would!
ooh, also, seeing as there are so many quality blogs currently on the site, i thought i'd add a shit one, in an effort to hopefully prevent the whole of the left side of the site going green.
right then. time for a celebratory belgium beer - any excuse.

cool. i plan to 'plug in' a random image thing for that too...so there is change, or percieved change at least i like the front page too. my artist site currently uses a similar technique, as a holding page: link ----- for that site I think it might just chuck the page content over the top of the repeating image. lalala.

I think that the site looks really nice and I do love the photo in the splash page, but I'd like to see that element worked into the main page and do away with the splash page. Splash pages are just one extra step for some one to go through, even though they look nice.

very kind words. thanking you both. all i need to do is keep it updated / adding new stuff. problem with that is that my company is so closely related to shat we do as individuals, it can be hard to decide which site to put it on
mechp: i know splash pages are a no-no really but i couldn't really work out a way of achieving what you mentioned.....and i too like the splash page...*ponders*

If you are selling slutty pronographic images....
you might have a spash page.
If you are an application designer needing time for your enviornemt to load....

woop. thanks. so, the splash page is under threat. on one level i was thinking it would help to show people when it was last updated, without having to enter the site...as well as hopefully looking quite bold and striking. oh dear, torn now....but really glad that you generally like it!!
royce: i have about 10000 word photos now. some still need cataloguing and the task of ultimately putting them in a database is a big one. i might one day open it up to more people to add words, otherwise getting something like a visual dictionary is going to be very difficult........anway, that's for another day...
