hi, hello.
i have just launched my new look (and new content) website: link
it is pretty late in the day for me to be launching this really and i imagine you will find loads of problems with it. if you do, please let me know......ahaha - the microsoft beta-testing model - launch it and then ask for feedback 
more important than shitty little bugs (some of which i am aware of), i'd love your comments on my shit...as the kids say...i really value what people on here think. not to the extent that i would top myself if you hate it like....but i probably would!
ooh, also, seeing as there are so many quality blogs currently on the site, i thought i'd add a shit one, in an effort to hopefully prevent the whole of the left side of the site going green.
right then. time for a celebratory belgium beer - any excuse.

hi samski, nice site. i love the nav. very simple, clean, and functional but nice looking also. good color scheme throughout. if i had a vote, i'd vote to nix the splash page also. you've got some fun toys! i remember seeing that guinness machine and laughing (excuse me, lol'ing). you've also got some great photos! where abouts is mauritius? looks like a great trip.

hey bb. very kind words. glad it works for you um, mauritius is a tiny island, due east of madagascar (which is off south east africa..in case you don't know). it's really lovely. especially for me as i have family there now, so that keeps the cost down and the culture and food much more real! plus when i had a moped crash, i had a member of the army (and family) visit me in hospital - hehehe! apparently you can go on a camping holiday there...but most people go to really posh hotels ($$$) and never step outside them - including swimming in special beach side swimming pools.....um, fucking fools!
it's really nice to be asked a question like that these days - especially online - as it's only a google or wikipedia away...but i hope i have added my own bits of info for you

hehe, i knew it might seem weird or lazy since there is always google. but i like to get people's personal take on things these days. you gave me yours and that was great! much better than a wiki or google answer.

suggestion--remove your unencrypted email address in the mailto link(s?) asap! the spam robots love harvesting those up. There are a bunch of javascript encrypt0rs you can use to protectify your mail address, google knows where.

hey sam, I was giving it some thought, and why not do the tiled photo thing behind the main nav and and header instead of the dark grey? B&W photos would look nice there, and so would many of the color photos as long as you were conscious about what you put there. That's one of the beauties of gray, it looks nice with any color! Just a thought.
I'm lovin the site too, btw. Been there about 10 times now

hey mechp, that's a good idea. will give it a go and see how it looks...hmmm...thinking about it, maybe it might also work as the main page background...hmmm...thanks very much for taking the time to consider this. i hadn't come up with much but this is worth trying for sure!

A little of option A ... a little of option B. Mostly I was thinking of a way to help integrate the photos into the layout, cause I loves 'em! .... and 10 was maybe a stretch ;)
