ok, so i wrote this blog, submitted it, than it said the pics were too big. well thanks for deleting my text !
The Audiobulb FZ-Bulb is a Analog Fuzz and Bandpass Filter Combo inside a small (2 3/4"x3 1/4") metal enclosure. The FZ-Bulb was a cooperation between RuinElectronics and the Audiobulb Label, to be sold on the audiobulb site. The unit has two knobs (gain and bandpass frequency.), 1/4" ins and outs and a true bypass on/off (bypass) toggle switch. It runs off of a single 9v battery. The unit follows the typical ruin aesthetic of "looks like it was found in a World War 2 bunker".
David at Audiobulb was pretty specific about pretty much only one thing. It had to use a bulb instead of an LED. which is of course, quite fitting.
I hear the expected release is in december. if this is so, be sure to treat yourself to a nice christmas gift!
The price will be fair, the pedal was designed to be an affordable and compact analog effect unit.
I did record some sound samples, but they were recorded before the final prototype was made, so there are some bugs in the sound on those lcips which are fixed in the final version, so i dont want to show those as to not get the wrong impression. mayube david will post some samples if he wants at some point.
i am very proud of these units... and hope that they sell out quick!
