wow, 3 blogs now.

is it cuz he liked synths?
i dont remember this outcry when elvin jones died

for real. elvin was amazing. then again, he played the em-dreaded acoustic drum kit.

well.. i would say that jozy is the first of the 1st generation fusion dudes to kick the bucket.. unless i'm forgetting something.

oh man... that song is actually my least favortie in the whole entire world. i've just heard it sooooooooo many times because my dad is a jazz standard playing pianist and i always thought he wrote it until maybe 4 years ago. ha.

jaco pastorius!

yea.. well i was thinkng of jaco as 2nd generation.. considering he wasn't on bitches brew ya know?

ok.. well there's miles of course.

if that's the definition, then you're quite right. they formed weather report together, however.

I just watched a BBC3 documentary of him a few days ago with him playing in his club and talking about his life had no clue he had died. I am currently almost in tears as I read this blog of this sad news (he was still kicking it big style). To JOE - "You will be missed by many old and new Joe and sorry I only got into your sound when you were in the last days of Weather Report" - the force WILL continue, pal.
