Electronic Music 411 - decibel festival

well im not going to jack shit.. i can't stand live electronic music unless its one of my friends playing.
but i can host a little drinking and partying at my house if anyone wants

i wouldn't say it's jumping the shark just a different target perhaps? it'll jump the shark when 'tiesto' plays.. or maybe 'bass nectar'. or if they show 'modulations' in the ambient showcase theater or start promoting the dbfestival record label/online e-store download consortium or something...

i think it's a good festival and regardless of who's playing it's usually fun and there's someone new to check out/be surprised by.. i'm just not up for it this year. i need one or two "sure things" to get me there then the surprises seem much more er.. surprising.

partying a little at jdg's house sounds fun though.

i would love to go, but have other higher priority things to do at the time. there are some seriously great acts playing, and i recommend this event everyone.

diplo, more than anyone, is what makes it really suck to not be able to make it this year. throw away all your preconceptions about mashup, pop, baile, etc. forget what you've heard on cd. you simply *must* experience diplo live. if you enjoy fun at all (i know at least some of you don't... bastards), you will go ballistic over diplo. seriously, one of the best times i've ever had out dancing at any show.

i'm jealous of the mass of people that will get to see him at neumo's. if he has his dvdjs in the set on those six screens, it will just be ridiculous.
