Really nice... It'll be a sad day when music is invisible.

Someone really needs to come up with a new visual model for digital releases. What that is I don't know... maybe some sort of fancy 20 spot color, die cut, embossed poster on heavy stock included in the price of release would do.

still the best cover ever..

smell the glove

wow some really nice cover there
I do miss the years when I was such a vinyl junk/whore
too sad to know that there are so many talented graphic designers (hey I'm one myself actually) out there
not being able to add their creativity to all that great music being made today (and I don't mean a website)

colour me mainstream but I always had a weak spot for ECM covers

nice catch...when the day comes where i release an actual album with physical cover 'n' all...i'll turn to these guys.

Its pretty easy to get someone to do a commission though, a lot of talented people on deviant art have been doing like paypal commission services.

Summer make good by mum isn't there.

Looks even cooler if you've heard the album.

nice,

"reaching for the sublime" is a bit over-the-top though - made me lol
thanks

there was a label called "limelight' that put together some super lush gatefold covers with fold-out books, sometimes die-cut, sometimes with nice color-on-color graphics. they were the shit. stuff like this. they also had some great music too.

As much as i like illustrations/covers/graphics it's a love hate relationship with digipak, booklet gatefolds, basically anything different from the standard CD jewel case, like that microstoria dvd jewel case with *goddam* a CD and nothing else. It's always difficult to store, and those digipaks don't hold really well to being stacked

thanks for the link, inspiring stuff there.
