Hey,
STFU Edinburgh is happening just now. All is going pretty well... Kid Quaalude played earlier, Daswesen is rocking it just now (people are dancing!!) and Millicent is yet to come.
The visuals are currently some love making tutorial DVD "How to make love" or something. It's quite a bizarre sight to see people dancing to daswesen in front of a big screen showing couples exploring various sexual positions. (I know, pics or STFU...).
We are (hopefully, fingers crossed) recording the sets, so all being well you will be able to hear them soon.

yeah, seems to be be very common bla...hmmmm.
all i can offer as help is to say that your set was fucking epic. the quality, depth and lush brutality was right up my alley. fuck man, that sounded like some shite music journo...not quite the wire granted, but pretty up my own ass.......*ahem* - basically, your set fucking rocked - IMHO.

hopefully well be able to play it again sometime- danny (the wizard of bass/tommy walker 3) was into it and said hes up for playing another gig
i didnt know if it was going to work because danny had never heard it before so he was totally improvising and i had programmed the effects for the bass without hearing a bass through it- as far as i could tell there wasnt much bass (apart from the beats) and the resonators really took over
it was well sweaty in the monster suit and quite tiring/stressful (we finished maybe 5 mins early - i couldnt handle much more and danny wanted to stop too)
something fucked up though- the main compressor it was all going through was completely overdriven or feeding back or something because it was totally in the red and the gain knob couldnt help that- i hope it didnt sound too distorty out front

yeah, you mentioned your technical problems when i spoke with you. it sounded pretty fucking mental out front...not sure if it was meant to sound quite that mad but i was into it
the bass was not very loud in the mix but was cool. i woulda liked to hear it a bit more but when danny was bending the high notes it was coming through nicely.....

damn, i'm so pissed about the sets not being recorded properly. just about all the sets got recorded too, we were using a good quality sound card, latest drivers, and i was checking them every so often, so i thought everything was cool! arrghh! sorry folks

oh, and sorry for anyone who suffered from my, ahem, "sound engineering" skills... I somehow managed to find myself doing the sound for a lot of the sets, i think the only reason being because I was standing near to the mixer :P
