--> so i spammed the ableton forum about this, and i''ll do it hear too. i just have to share this with you. i'm going through a lot of music every day, finding a few cool things, but every so often i stumble upon something magic.

this time it was an aneponymus album by pachora it was released in 1997 but i only heard it first about 2 hours ago. it's fucking lovely. in all fairness, i am and was, at the time i first heard it, a bit drunk but this has absolutely blown me away. such smooth, moody vibes.

it blends the ethnic, ancient-like groove of balkanic music with the intricacy and aesthetics of jazz.

i could upload a tune, or 2 for you but i dunno if that'd be okay.

jim black is great. i heard several records and also seen him live. he played drums obviously and also played one of those handsonic roland controllers with noise samples. super duper.
