Heya, I set myself the project to make a tune/groove/jam per day for the next year, so far it's been a week, and the results are pretty encouraging. At the least, even the stuff coming out is shit, you always learn something new, and I really needed the push to keep focused on music for at least a few hours each day. I'm blogging each song on my blog at link
After the last year which I spent mostly on doing dancey ditty tunes, I think I need to get back to more dsp/artsy oriented stuff. At least I've learnt some things about flow this year, but when I listen to my earlier stuff I'm like "ohhh so much different sounds/atmospheres going on", and I was really exploring possibilities instead of going "bassdrum here, snare here, pulse pwm bass here, some chords, voila". | |
