It's just in it's inception. But there is real talent. Listen to this track.. tell me that isn't way dope. link Fuck, hating shit gets real tired. 0 people like this blog. dunno. burial is one of the greatest albums, that was released the last two years. as far as i heard the mix from kode9, that was existing purely out of the new album. the next burial won't sound that different, but still amazing.
get it here on the bbc site: link and also skream is kinda cool sometimes or shackleton. thing is that term got thrown around quite a bit too much.. It's kind of like clownstep but slower.
I love 30% of it (anything hard and chest caving), but could leave the much of the rest (slow, spineless stuff with way too many references to Jah, lions, etc... basically Dub-lite).
I would say if you've never experienced it on a proper sound system, then a lot of it leaves much to be desired. i would rather be listening to dub while being properly blitzed
dubstep is cool when you just wanna chill and go off into your own world. . i dunno about party music though
i always found it pretty boring too, found grime much more interesting.
