--> Well I've been a long time em-er, even before the crash but this is my first blog. I played my first live set on the weekend and took a few people by suprise and I guess I had a sort of revelation... I've always done the "right thing" in terms of good jobs etc and to be honest it hasn't worked out too great. It looks like I'm about to get fired and the shop that I run with my girlfriend just can't seem to find its feet despite us pouring our heart and soul into it.

So now I'm thinking why not chase some silly dreams? The end result can't work out any worse than trying to play by the rules can it? So right now my girl and I are seriously considering packing up and moving to a new country, preferably one where my flavour of minimal/tech house might be appreciated. Any ideas? I'm suspecting Europe but I'm happy for any ideas em-ers may have. Anyone from Australia will probably know just how much our country has changed lately, and not for the better.

Oh, and here are some photos of my studio. I'm guessing if we move I'll have to sell most of it, so enjoy the pics while it lasts!

+1 for silly dreams!
good luck
I'm suspecting Europe too, but I can give and authoritative advice on that one

many people in greece are into techno / tech house / minimal / microhouse, lots of parties going on here. also, there are a couple of upcoming small labels.

what's with all the sideways monitors?

helps you hear god better

who's god? I can't find them on itunes...

search for bt

seriously, teh sideways monitors
explain them to me.

i clicked on the approve button, but i really hate it when shit happens.

j_chot read the manual that came with your monitor.
ok leme get the boxes out of the closet.....

I can't find it... I give up.
the interweb is all like "no! don't do it!"
but then peeps are like "if it works for you.."
and a couple are all "THESE are suppose to be on teh sides."

so sweet spot is smaller when on sides, right?

perserverance, stubbornness and the internet is why trees stay up.

But!!!! For mine, i don't have space to stand them up,so i place them on the sides. My manual's got a few notes about doing that, results of which are the holes are stuffed with some cloth to cut the bass.

response:

problems with phase, if you decide to put them sideways.

any one from Australia also knows that the music scene here is dominated by FM and indie rock and if you do anything remotely interesting expect an audience of twelve.
so...do it if that's what you need to do

what an inspiring blog Good luck with your new adventures!!!

what crash? the forum data loss? PFFT that ain't a crash, that's spring cleaning bogdan stylee.

anyways... glad to make ur acquaintance. i ran a chop shop outta new york (small animals LOL) and it failed, despite mine and my GF's efforts. oh well. good times, though - hey, if u like music and performing, and got talent, fucking dont stop, don't let some job get in ur way, just use it to pay the amenities. peace ;D

follow the dream, i'm cliche but its really all that matters.
