this is absolutelly stellar! thanks

I wonder if it would be possible to:

1. play back samples/loops into a spectrometer/spectrogram/spectwatever into a red/green thing like this, mess around with it in a paint program then replay it as sound.......

I think so.

It's possible to design images with the aim of making rythmns when put into the audiopaint programme.
Worth playing with as it produces results that wouldn't come about from other 'knobs and sliders' style synths.
