This is my piggie, and her name is Princess Leia. She's only one year old but already a momma of 7. She totally hates getting picked up, but once I finally catch her she'll be happy in my lap for hours. We have two other piggies (two daughters) who are black and brown and a little more tame when it comes to catching them. We have a cage in the kitchen for them, but we leave the door open all the time, cos we think it's important for them to be free to run around as much as they want (they usually just lie around under the cupboards near the cage). It's sometimes weird having guinnea pigs as pets. They can have a childish stigma attached to them, but they are the most sweet and harmless creatures I've ever encountered, and they are just so cool. It's lovely to have little fat furballs following you around while you make dinner.
Anyway, I posted a picture of her on em411 exactly one year ago when I bought her. It's an anniversary of sorts.

OMG this blog makes me sooooo happy. I loved my guinea pig when I was a kid. His name was Freddy. He ran loose in the top floor of our house at the time and shat freely wherever he pleased, permanently destroying the hard wood floor. Very stinky, but very cute.
