im working on an album of my songs,
its going to be a kinda creative format, a thumbdrive (1gb) that will be installed in a paper mache "c"
i would love to have some ppl make some music videos to be included in this project. ive got loads of songs available on my virb page , all of which will be on the thumbdrive album as either main album tracks or as bonus mp3 tracks. i wouldnt be able to pay for these videos, but would give plenty of credit on the album and try and reciprocate favors for those that help.
now you may ask "why dont you just make the videos yourself?"
yes i would love to do that.. though currently ive lost my camera battery charger and i dont really have any good software/skill. (got any software recommendations??)
so, anyone interested?? im thinking sometime before the end of the year for a deadline.
em'er timmo has already started making a video for my song "schisma" .. i really like what he has so far, and it inspired me to try for more videos. | |

First of all: your packaging scheme is genius.
Second: I'd love to do this, but I'm not sure I'd have to the time to do a full video... I'm thinking a flash video featuring a bunch of digital paintings that I'd do so that it'd have a hand-made/hand-painted look... does anyone want to be the flash maestro and collab on a video?

sure! i can give you some source material as well if you would like.
mechp: yeah it totally doesn't have to be actual motion video. sadly i know nothing of making flash stuff. though i believe you can do videos of still stuff in free softwares like windows movie maker.
also: video feedback can be extremely cool. if you get the angles just right it makes wonderful moving geometric patterns. (can be achieved by pluging the video output of a camcorder or digital camera into a tv and then pointing the camera or camcorder at the screen. at first you get boring blobs, but with just little 1 degree adjustments and experiments it developes into crazy moving fractal patterns.

my GF is teaching after school for kids. she is helping them learn to build paper mache' masks.
some manequin heads (foam) and the goo are all that yu need. old paper also i guess.
fun stuff.
now they are making clay ones. gooey paper is fun.

i would suggest videodelic for apple. its made by peoples who created metasynth. it has an easy to use gui. you can use footage,pics, or live video feed. it also has lots of features that allow the video settings to change based on your audio inout. there is a very easy to use montage sequencer that lets you sync up video to audio.
