--> yesterday a laptop battle took place in stuttgart.
it was the first of it's kind in this town and surprisingly well attended.
there were eight participants including daswesen, yghartsyrt and me.

setting up the equipment was a nightmare and it took ages until we got to get started. i unfortunately got eliminated in the first round because nobody seemed to like my streched three minute fartsample. because that was how it sounded like to me

manuel took the wiimote, left the stage during his performance and run havoc in the audience. that was awesome and he got farther. nils got into the finals but then had to give it to some other dude despite his very dedicated body movements and crazy spastic drills and beats

i was very professional of course getting drunk almost as soon as i got there and at one point almost tripped on the mixer that was set up on the floor directly behind the stage. that got me some angry looks from various people

i lost my jacket and ripped my pants badly (fortunately not myself) on some fucked barbed wire while walking home warrior-style meaning i jumped through random urban gardens screaming in anger

sorry no pics but i can maybe upload an mp3 of my set if you want me to

i'm looking forward to the next one and try to be calmer next time. i never ever played life before (!!!) so i channeld my excitement into a bit of control-freakishness behaviour.

but eh, what the heck. i need to fix my pants now so i can leave the house!

it's very cool to see how the battle goes down abroad. far more "club" than what i've seen here. that is... the darker room, the visuals, more edm-ish music. the us laptop battles have a tendency to turn into breakcore competitions. not all, but many... if not most.

kableton's first round and nq's last round were my favs from what i saw.

Hi guys!

It was real fun to have nq, tylth, and Wesen in one place. Stuttgart's Laptopbattle definitively rocked. The crowd enjoyed it, the judges enjoyed it, and the press people also enjoyed. And I know for sure that Wesen enjoyed it even more!

i'm so glad i got my jacket back! thank you hakan, very reliable

thanks a lot hakan, for everything

lol about the thank you hakan part from wesen

but fo shizzle. it was really fun.
thanks for making this happen hakan.
