Electronic Music other: update of the soundcard story and soundfont idea
Store Written July 09 2006
Well im still collecting the money needed for the soundcard reparing.

already have 150$ need 250% to be able to buy a new soundblaster audigy 2 zs platinum pro with headset so this time i will not get the dreadful Feedback of doom.

After i will get the new soundcard and headset i will be able to finish my song that i have started in collaboration with tramb i friend of mine.

Other then that i have been thinking of a project idea that would be major but i will need to recruit people to send me voice sample the more voice i could get the better the result of the soundfont will be.

Then the soundfont will be return to the public for free so all can enjoy the work of all who participated.

Don't be shy if you are interested just send me a personal message and you will get the detail on how to record for the project.

hey un autre quebecois! =)

I wouldn't reccomend creative (audigy) cards for music production. they're overpriced and less stable than professional cards, and you'll likely to find more audio-prod-related features on the other cards anyway. You can get a decent pro card (m-audio, echo, etc) for less than $200
Well thank you for your opinion but me and the SoundBlaster we go way back in time well actually 11 years my first computer had a SoundBlaster pro soundcard and in 2002 when I bough my new computer I had a SoundBlaster live installed in it in 2004 when a got my newest machine I ask my cousin what was the best soundcard for musician in the SoundBlaster line so he showed me a photo of the SoundBlaster audigy 2 zs platinum pro just by looking at the photo I said y not but I didn’t know at all what was included with but i wasn’t disappointed specially with the FL-Studio creative edition I’m really the type to follow a brand to the end well I will surely look at the rest specially the M-audio soundcard they look great but if I have to spend money on M-audio product I think I will go with the mircotrack recorder before I buy a soundcard from them
