--> ISAN - Trois Gymnopedies (Morr Music)

This release is at the top of my "to buy" list right now. isan does it up right. kudos!

"The latest in Morr Music's occasional 'A Number Of Small Things' series, 'Trois Gymnopedies' takes Satie's original 1888 compositions, then bathes them in a warm and sudsy bath of digital milk..."

sounds interesting!

isn't that a bit too obvious?? I mean ... haven't all of you made your own version before? ... I know I have one somewhere...

LOL, actually posted my pretentious 10 year old hip hop version here the other day: link

same feeling as djugel here.

i liked roshis version

wow satie thats my favorite ever music. i used to play it on my guitar as a kid, and my mum listened to it before that.
i gotta buy it.

a little obvious, but i always dig isan. maybe he's just out of ideas.

i'd listen to anything give the isan treatment.

...he fucked up the timing.

try Akira Rabelais instead link

not much can improve on satie, the original arrangements of his piano works are genius.

and yeah... i know at least 4 electronica artists off the top of my head who directly sample or use satie harmonies in their pieces. guess it's a fad.

i'm more interested in original works, truthfully. i had more than enough of the "do what other people already did" in music school. ;)

also not convinced about this one, I've previewed it before and it was enjoyable, but really I'd prefer entirely original tracks

someone made a g2 patch that automatically plays that most famous gymnopedie.
