Electronic Music other: QuikLok QL-623 at Toronto Long & McQuade
Store Written November 22 2007
In case any Canadians em411-ites are looking for multi-keyboard stands, I just bought a quiklok QL-623 3-tier stand at the Bloor Street Long & McQuade for C$78+taxes (90.05 total). They used to cost C$190+taxes. Dunno if this is a sale or a closeout or a price "adjustment". In any case, the sealed commercial boxes suggest that these are not returns, refurbs, or B-stock.

Seems to be a fine product. I would not gig with it, because I don't like the look of the locking gears for the second and third tiers. For studio/home use, however, it's perfect. It's holding a Korg Z1 on the base level, with a Roland XP30 on the second tier, and a Korg Prophecy on third. Tiers 2 & 3 are currently angled down for comfortable access from a sitting position. Seems very solid. The upper tiers can easily absorb my ham-handed bashing. So far so good.

Anyway, there you go. I'll let you know if it turns out to be a dud.
