the pic is indeed a dancer from a gig he and chris cunningham did in turin. its up on the web somewhere as a shaky video.
for me its not just about the man himself, but a celebration of all that is good in this world. i have seen him over the years at various places, liverpool, hackney, leedsx2, glastonbury and sonar festival. and everytime he never fails to move the crowd and get a proper party going. i don't really care hes not playing live. i think when i saw him at glastonbury he was sampling from records he played and manipulating them, which he did with a great deal of skill and some bollocks as his tiny sony clie kept crashing. his selection is always impeccable and its always a great excuse for a party.
as to him not being fresh - has anyone listened to the tuss? one of my fave records of the year!
samski thanks for the offer - someone else has spare tickets but i booked a gig the night after in bolton so no can do. next time though! check out chrome hoof when you are there you will not be disappointed.

well
the aphex tein concert in roma due saturday was cancelled 5 hours before it was due... i'm lucky that i'm living in rome and that none of my friedns from firenze came.... otherwise it would be horror.
it seems like who's organizing all of the aphex twin shows is managing things badly... this blog surprises me.
