my name is stefanos, i am a calm person in general, i study theoretical physics, i like it when people share their own music and i get pleasure by doing that with my music, i am a somewhat active member of the netlabel scene, i run a weblabel called memoryformat, although i like a lot the modern idm-ish and breakbeat music i always end up listening to my beloved oldschool hiphop albums (late 70s to mid 90s), you can contact me here: eskei.one[at]gmail[dot]com.

I didn't want to bother you with every little detail regarding STFU Athens, so below there's a major update with everything that has happened in the past few months.
STFU Athens is confirmed! It will take place between 29/2 and 2/3/2008. The venue is called bios ( link ) and i believe it's the most suitable place in Athens for this kind of event. We will have 4(!) rooms, one for workshops, one for video projections, one for live performances and the main lounge for dj sets. A possible timeline is this:
19:00 workshops / video projections / dj sets
22:30 dj sets / live performances
02:30 end
This venue handles almost everything in-house, which means that we will have proper flyers and press kits sent to local press & media (more convincing than me sending press kits). A friend of mine who is an amateur cinematographer will cover the event and i'll try to see if it's possible to stream performances live to a netradio like systrum sistum ( link ).
Also, for those who are coming, if you don't mind sleeping on a couch or sharing a guest room with a fellow STFUer, then accomodation and probably food will be free. Otherwise, here are some hostels approved by the hellenic tourism organisation:

I sent an application for funding to eurocult.org but they refused. Apart from red bull greece, i can't think of anyone else who might be interested in sponsoring the event, so any proposal is welcome.
Lastly, VC informed me that there may be organisations that fund individual artists. If you know something about this and you'd like to pursue this possibility, we can come up with a formal invitation to perform in STFU that i can send over for you to present.
