Each of your votes helps to slowly transform abstract shapes into human faces. This is evolution driven by artificial selection.

I posted this link in chat a while back. Since then a few people mentioned that they visited the site only after very face-like images had already appeared, and they wanted to see the earlier stages of development too. So i've added two new populations to the database. The young images are still very spikey and indistinct.
If you like it, please consider adding it to your favourite social bookmarking directory, or mailing it to friends. The big waves of traffic from and stumbleupon etc really help to drive the evolution.
(I just updated the site, with a change that might mean that it now works in IE 6/7, if anyone's running one of those can you confirm whether the faces are showing up? link )
