"But it's always nice to see other great artists take their place."
I'm still waiting for something that threatens Kontakte. Sure, you may not like it, but it's the most complex and innovative electroacoustic composition in existence...
...still.

i don't know the name of the song, but the music that he did for the quay brothers' "in absentia" is absolutly one of the most beautiful things i have ever heard. and it is a peice he did fairly recently. actually, the film itself is beautiful. i don't know if it is any surprise that i am quite a fan of karlheinze stockhausen, some of the most interesting music i have heard. i think i will watch "in absentia" right now, mostly because i watch it all the time anyway.

It's a nice piece though.. I just don't know what you mean by all aquare waves. I'll stop being a dick.. I guess I'm just a simpleton prefers "avant garde" film instead of music.

i saw him a couple of years in glasgow.
he doing some weird stuff with a mixer.
it was pretty fuggin intense.
he did an awe inspiring thing using multi layered field recordings using some kind of surround sound set-up.
i think people get worried that they should like him and get defensive about it...i say chill.
its not everyones bag, it doesn't mean people think you are less intelligent or something
R.I.P you crazy mofo.

"but in seriousness, stockhausen's written music is some of the most inspirational shit i've ever seen. i mean, he made up his own musical notation and that is real bad ass. just look:"
still on a stave though
"not for some poorly recorded swirling helicopters flown by crying unicorns."
hahahahahahahahaha
"that drawing looks very similar to modern midi notation. when was that drawn?"
inspiration?
"old dood."
true that is
"it's about time for me to check out his work"
he's gonna be rich!
