i got a real military parachute off of ebay and put in in my room. at first i only wanted to cover the area around my futon matress, but the thing is so huge that i filled my entire room with it at last. everything unnessesary went out of the room.
i like the atmosphere but the parachute smells not very fresh, and i have no real walls anymore. i look forward to the drug and sex binges i'm gonna have in here.
i'm not fully satisfied with the pictures i took, because they cannot substitute the real experience of hanging around in here, but i share them anyway.
and i think the acoustic of the room improved a lot - no more echoes and reflections from the walls and less sound going outside (good for my flatmate and the neighbores).

we did it too! i'm from the Northeast dawgs! (i did however go to school in Vermont, which is infamously 'hippie')
we played the chill barn at phoenix fest a few years ago, and they had parachutes as backdrops for the stage...very nice with the sun shining through...aaaaah chillin'.

yeah, I did that in PE too, in Connecticut.
I liked it, it made me want to nap.

I did parachute things in PE too, in Texas. A lot of the kids would cry when the hatch doors on the plane opened.

parachute thing in PE here in Tejas too.
We'd put big balls on it and bounce them around... I think we called that 'popcorn'.

Me too. I used to imagine it as an arabian tent when we were under it.
I'm glad to hear that this was a PE thing all over, and not just from the Hippie schools I attended.

ugh i just sprayed febreeze all over the place and now i'm sipping tea with a headache in front of the lappy. damn bottle cost me almsot 4€. hope it helps anyway.
nice eye for details, midgetfidget - the tripod is my lampholder in lack of another one, the halogen one is just too bright, you know.
oh and another thing: the seller recommended to install a blacklight in order to experience some "real cool effects and stuff", so i got a small blacklight-bulp but shät - no effect. probably because the tissue is more yellow than white .
