Hellllooooo there!
Well I just got Reaktor, and I need your help. So I thought this would be a good place for general Reaktor help that anyone can look to. Specifically if any of you guys have simple patches that would be good to learn from. Just basic stuff that n00bs could fiddle around with to learn some basics from. I know I would appreciate it and I'm sure there are others here that would like the same.

here's a blog:

there's some other stuff out there, but honestly, not very much. The reaktor documentation is pretty bad and there aren't many other learning resources out there, I found. In fact, I think there is loads of stuff that should have been covered in the manual but was just flat left out.
If you need any help about specific things feel free to ask me, though I'm not really a whiz at it like some of the guys in the user community.
to me, it seems like--first, figure out how to make a basic synth, with the audio stuff, then figure out basic event processing.
Figuring out how the clock stuff works in reaktor really helps:

that example helped me get going.
I think after that, getting a grip on events is important-how they work, how you need to process them. "value" modules, order modules, and the difference between selectors and routers, and so on.
The initialization sequence is important to understand, and there's a tutorial on that in the "documents" folder. Also, the snap value array and the snap value modules are important if you want to save any event table data or special values along with your ensemble. Also, figuring out how to work with polyphony is another important thing to figure out, which is pretty much sidestepped in the manual. You need routers and poly info modules to get going on that, too...
anyway, good luck

Jack: Yeah, I read through the entire manual. I actually got a lot out of it, but I was hoping to find some kind of guide into slightly more complex things. However I've been messing around with it all day since I made this post and I think I'm actually getting somewhere.
Ricemutt: Thanks a lot for your response, that's actually quite a bit more useful information than I had expected.
