I haven't been around for a while, I have been extremely busy at my day job, and school has also taken over most of my life.
For music I have been studying Maqam (arabic music) and Hindustani (Northern Indian Classical) and figuring out how to work with rhythms like 13/8, 17/8, 9/4, etc. I have been slowly building up a set and applying these new rhythms to it and been really excited by what I have been coming up with. I also recently picked up an Oud (not electronic, but pretty amazing sounds anyways) and have been working on more "ambient" music to parallel the beat-driven stuff using the Oud and my Sitar, I guess it would be considered drone music.
I have completely phased out all the cheesy music that I was doing in the past and going for a more focused sound now.
For 2008, I plan on being a lot more productive and get back to posting more on em411 with what I have been learning to help out others more.
So, I just wanted to say "HELLOOOO" to everyone again and I hope you are all well. I have a lot of blogs to read through I think.
PPSBBQOMG... I will be travelling to Italy in a few days visiting Roma, Firenze, Venince, so if anyone wants to meet up for a drink please emMail me. I guess I am a year late for STFU Rome. :-(

Have fun in Italy Eric, my trip to Italy for stfu Roma last year is my favourite holiday ever!
If you can, try and visit Orvieto, Bomarzo, with its monster grove and the tiny hilltop village of Civita di Bagnoregio on the way, all 3 are in close proximity, about 1/3rd of the way between Roma and Firenze (if travelling from Rome)
Here are my pics from Rome too, in case you haven't seen them: link

lovely shots, Unkownforce. And I agree with the recommendation of Orvieto. Umbria is such a lovely part of Italy. Definitely worth a trip or two. Wo, Bomarzo park looks amazing! Great luck to see it in thick mist!
