hmm. I really like the new album. But I couldn't get into it until I listened to the whole thing in a dark room. It doesn't come to you, you ogtta go to it.

that song 'videotape' makes me cry.

That was cool, thanks. What's that mic? I like it!

Yeah i'd like to know that too.

it helps to have the lyrics when first listening to a new radiohead tune. its not necessary for me, but it does help if you're not inclined to just get into the texture of radiohead's sound. lyrics always come last for me, anyway. i always focus on the music first, and then eventually I ask, "now what is he singing about?" i think thom's voice is unique and that he uses it very much like the instrument it is. bending notes and squeezing them out, wailing like a guitar, stabbing the high notes like a jazz trumpet player.. very blues-like, though, not necessarily the blues. but that's how i relate to his voice. lots of blues in the sound, and angst and joy all wrapped up into one, imo, very remarkable voice. love it!

awesome watching now. thanks for posting this!

i think i could watch the 'all i need ' part in a loop forever.
it's one of the best lyrically on the album too i think,
'i'm an animal trapped in your hot car' and 'i only stick with you becuase there are no others' being particularly beautifully spitefull.
good dancy stuff from tom too, heh.

they've got a great energy and can actually PLAY, which is so refreshing! I really dug this - thanks for the reminder.

Electrovoice RE20; classic broadcaster's mic

+1 same here

me too .. it's the stretched vowels. Basically I never really really got into lyrics until I got in Momus around the later 90's. I find Radiohead is the complete opposite of him. I like real artists..

I never liked Pearl Jam

watched video ... Johnny Dillweed's guitar parts always sound bland to me ... never anything clever.. Like Sonic Youth meets Hootie and the Blowfish. dumbed down..

dude! totally. real art is waaay better than, like, the opposite of real art.
