I've spent the last three months with only one leg while I recover from the break Roshi described here:

I wanted to let you all know that I'm through the worst of it and should be walking (with assistance) within the next two or three weeks! This horrible experience is almost behind me! I'm finally putting some weight on the bum leg, and so far it's holding up well. X-rays show some, although not much, growth around the fractures; however nothing encourages healing like use.
I'll be using a crutch or cane for a few months, as it will take as long as another year for it to heal completely. That's cool, I like canes. Maybe I could get one with a skull for a handle.
Anyway, just wanted to share the good news! Thanks everyone for all of your thoughts / jokes / insults etc. during this hellish thing!

Also, mad crutch skillz: did you know you could hop stairs up insanely fast by putting one crutch two steps above the one your standing, hopping up, doign that again? I first did that when drunk at STFU, tried it sober, didn't work, but then found the skillz to do it. Also developed mad one leg hopping skilzl!

daswesen - love these tips, though I may try to bypass getting stopped by cops. :-) Also not going to touch crutches while drunk!
