--> I've been trying out some ideas for a music video for one of my old tracks "Everywhere Everyone is Happy All the Time". I want to be able to guide the visuals more and tweak some more details in the video, but this I guess is the basic idea.

this is the youtube link (thanks to mr. hecanjog):

and here is the video on my website...better quality but longer download:

I think its really intriguing for the first couple of minutes, i love the palette of the main image. The rainbow coloured flashes weaken it for me, rainbows flatten things--they're like having every taste at once.

I was hoping for one or two other 'scenes' that it would alternate between; not really a narative, but the stubby beginnings of a leaning in that direction

Hey cbit,

Thanks for the suggestions! I like the idea of implying a vague sense of narrative with the use of different source material. I'll give that a try.

The color biasing was added because I felt like I needed a way to rupture the sense of rhythm that the patch created. The glitchy feedback loops can become a bit too hypnotic, however I agree that the colors kind of seem out of place. Do you think it would help if I mixed the colors with the main video more so that the bursts would be more subtle, or do you think an altogether new idea is necessary?

For my part I love love love the rainbow bursts - but that sort of well executed surface-of-a-bubble rainbow has always been a soft spot for me. Remember that vade patch I was geeking over? link

great video, i love this song, as you know already.

very cool - I like the 'limited' simplicity of the concept, and feel it works well with the audio. and yeah... some varying footage might be interesting especially if it received the same treatments.
