--> Yes! I just got it at the thrift store for one dollar, perfect condition. I never heard any of it before, but I recognized the cover (and the moog) the second I saw it.

I am really enjoying it

Nice! Walter/Wendy Carlos is the (wo)man.

Check the follow-up, The Well Tempered Synthesizer, as well. I run across both of those at thrift stores alllll the time. They were surprisingly popular records in it's day, so they're not hard to find.

yeah, those records are everywhere... if i liked that album I could have 50 copies of it by now, haha

Also worth checking: the clockwork orange soundtrack

Though on second thought I don't know how much overlap there is

i actually had that one before. i like how carlos sounds creepy

I found a copy of that on the street. Found Sound!

I have a decent copy of this as well as another one of his/her albums that I'm willing to part with (beauty of the beast, I think it is)

hit me up

My dad has this, I grew up hearing it along with the "eclectic electrics of Dick Hyman" which is a must-hear.

Yeah, I know its not rare or anything...but the thrift stores I go to don't usually have anything interesting, so this was a nice change.
I have a videoblog about some 28 or so booty bass records I found at a thriftstore recently.....
I'm trying to space out my video material, insted of dumping it all at the same time

i buy every moog albumn i come across.. my personal favorite is switched on country.. its really really bad.. with an awesome little hidden track that's wicked anolog goodness..

i have switched on santa, it's wicked. switched on bach is pretty awesome too. nice find!

i like electronic hair peices!@

switched on bacharach 1 and 2 are great records, too!
hydrax, i'd be really appreciative if you would tell what these moog records of your father's are! i may have to demand that you upload some!

My father has quite a lot of old Moog stuff.. Dick Hymen, Wendy Carlos, Moog plays the Beatles, From memory had a wicked version of Fool On The Hill, what else? yeah there was a lot. I actually have the Dick Hymen's Eclectic Electrics now, somewhere. I'll dig it out and convert it

Why can't people just respect Wendy Carlos as an artist and a woman? Why do people have to keep bringing up "Walter/Wendy" -- the poor lady felt trapped in a man's body and did something about it, and can't seem to escape from that shadow always eclipsing her talent as a musician and composer. Every time she's mentioned in here, some jackass has to come in and make sure everyone knows Wendy started as Walter.

Asses.
