i wanna get a tattoo but don't know what
i don't have any design that i can add to my body that would represent anything that i hold dear, like people who tattoo swastikas, new born babies, jesus, virgin mary, etc., etc. so i was thinking of doing something geeky, like a circuit, or a cassette, or a floppy disc, LOL
i'm kinda leaning towards the elvish inscription on the One Ring from Lord of the Ring
what do u have on?

I have many, but all were done as "Memento" style timestamps in my life, and I can remember exactly what each one meant to me at the time. I find this is important more than a design that I will just grow out of.
...but please, SweetTrip, whatever you do, DO NOT get a "wizard and bong" tattoo. I have seriously seen a few people with them..I would rather just go with "i love mom"

Oh no no no, of course not.
The reason why I do not have a tattoo is because, well besides the fact that I'm lame and do not like pain, I never liked the general "look" of tattoos and the general themes. I've seen some neat stuff here and there, but for the most part, the whole tattoo style always seemed kinda old. Not to put down what any of you have and what tattoo artist do. I just sort of wanted something unique. Not that the elvish LOTR One Ring idea is original...
But if do not go for something elvish, then i would love something more geometrical or vector-like... like bleen's leg tattoo, that's rad

since he's got some good ones, very visable.... and i've always wanted one too.. just never knew what to get.

my girlfriend has always been saying "by the time i'm old enough where my tattoos will look bad, they'll have already invented a cream that you just rub on and it goes away"
turns out it's arrived sooner than she thought (although not FDA approved yet)

I seriously have the most retarded tattoos, my only excuse I have was my age, I got them between the ages of 16 and 20. The first one I got when I was 16, when my grandma gave me $100.00 for Christmas. I knew a guy that was giving tattoos in his basement, and I got a troll holding a flag, riding on the back of a dragon. It covers my shoulder blade.
The second one is some tribal thorns I got on my arm when I was 17. My friend took his moms credit card and we all got tattoos. The third is some little tribal spear man on my leg. My girlfriend's younger brother bought a tattoo gun, and well that is the first of the three tattoos he ever did. We used a stussy sticker as a stencil.
The fourth is a grey alien on ribs. I got that one day when I was walking down Georgia Avenue and saw a tattoo parlor, I decided to just check it out, and I ran into a guy I new from high school who was at that time doing tattoos...
They're all really stupid and really just reflect that I was a teenage fuck up, but they all have some kind of story behind them.
Recently, I've been thinking of getting Chopin on forearm.

i got some tats when I was 21 - 22, been thinking about doing some more but it's been a few years now. They have been insanely important to me, basically with each tat I got to feel better. I have these minimalist circles on both arms, which are my first tat and still my favourite. Then some weird lightning kind of thing which I guess in hindsight is not so cool, but I love it. And then some song lyrics (unseen sights by alias) which I had made while drunk and on a whim, also love that one. I love the minimalist stuff, I think I'm just gonna have some more geometrical shapes tattooed everywhere. Sometimes I walk around and see awesome tats and just go "wow, why didn't I think about this myself?" like this one girl has a big fat line going from her left ear down to her left wrist, that's beautiful.
This one guy asked me "what are you going to do when you're 35 and you regret having those tats?" to which I could only answer "what are you going to do when you're 35 and regret not having tats?" lolz
