Someone stole my bag, and my bag contained my laptop. Plus an external hard drive. And the bag itself was really cool. Lucky thief. This was happening yesterday night, in the very same moment I was out with a girl i really like and things were going pretty well. So, in the very same moment I found myself being extremely happy and extremely sad. Ever happened to you ? Seems like a sign of destiny to me ( less laptop - more girls ).. but I usually don't believe this kind of shit..

same thing happened to me in amsterdam, in a church. yes, a church. similar emotions, too: it was the second day of our band's first european tour, and we all had just smoked a bunch of opium. it's tough to deal with the loss of your stuff when you're really, really high on opium. fyi.

Oh jeez man, that really sucks. :-( I know a bit what you're going through, my lappy died a while back - musical life for me without a laptop got a bit of a kick in the butt, forced me to change the way I work and try some things I otherwise wouldn't have. There's a bright side I think. Still sucks to hear. :-(

that sucks. i was in barcelona eating lunch on a bench with my girlfriend with no one around, and her back with her laptop, passport, ipod, and my digital camera was stolen. we were so angry and couldn't do anything about it.
but our gear was with us too (some of it highly customized) and luckily that didn't get stolen (looked like normal luggage), would've been much worse. consumer goods are easily replaceable; it's the information stored on them that's the loss.

Hi guys, thanks a lot for the kind words. So, in order of importance:
1) She's very very beautiful, at least.. :-)
2) I have backups.. actually i don't know when i did the last one (haven't checked yet..) but i don't think I've lost a lot cause that's not the laptop i make music with.
I've been sooo stupid.. cause Barcelona is known for this kind of shit but you know how it happens.. you get drunk, you're for the first time alone with this girl you like.. i mean, you just remove everything else from your mind. And so i did.. a bit too much.

Oh, and to answer Nils.. you know in barcelona you got this wonderful thing that in 10 mins you get from the old city to the beach.. so when we went out of the bar we had this great idea to grab couple of beers and go there to drink them. Once there... well the bag just disappeared at some point. The weird thing is that, even if i gotta admit that i was not paying any attention at the bag it was really close to us and the beach was empty. The mutherfuckers really know how to do it..

when i was in barcelona i was so paranoid. my awesome talking watch did go missing in a club there..... and i think i know exactly when it happened. that sucked.
glad you had backups though, and at least you were having a good time while it happened.
