--> I finally got my shit together and now I'm rocking a new set up!
My new notebook is a Dell Inspiron 1520 with Core 2 Duo, 2 MB cashe, 1.8.3 processor, 120 gigs and the best of all-I got XP instead of Vista!
I've also switched to Ableton Live 6 and will be upgrading to 7 soon. Next on my list is Trigger Finger which I will pick up this weekend.
Oh and I've been signed to Nueva Forma and quit IDM as a genre. But that's news for a different blog (or two)I suppose.

Join us in droneland... don't listen to the haters

Woot! no longer hauling that desktop and giant CRT!

And congrats on getting signed!

cool. good for you on getting signed! congrats.

Thanks all. I'm really excited for the future. As in 2008.
Roshi-yes I really wont miss dragging that around. Even though it was kind of punk. I felt like an old school New York holdout.

wow. i am totally happy for you but at the same time i feel very sad.
it was totally punk to play show with a huge crt monitor and desktop tower.

a moment of silece....

awesome news about Nueva Forma btw!!!

what sorta music is the new music?

I was confused by the Nueva Forma website link

congrats!!!!

That's great news! I will miss the CRT though. That was pretty damn punk!

Don't do the trigger finger though! I've had bad experiences with it... relating to mlbot's nueva forma link.

Get the Akai MPD or Korg PadKontrol... much more solid pieces of kit!

Just got a new Dell Inspiron 530 desktop myself, with XP,E4500 dual-core, 2 GB memory and 320 GB storage. It's studio only though; goes with the analogs and should be great for recording hours and hours of noodling. It's definately fast and Ableton Live is kickin'. My MOTU 828 mkII interface is still giving me slight problems when the network is in use sometimes though. My guess is it's an interrupts problem, maybe Dell didn't install APIC? Never buy anything MOTU for PC, it's a pain in the arse.

Congrats on the signage. I'll be on the lookout for your blog describing what you switched to from IDM.

mlbot-thank you for your interest in Nueva Forma and I applaud your efforts in taking the first steps to attaining the body you deserve. ha ha. Bury 1500 dollars in your back yard an a representative with contact you shortly.
Frio-thanks. I have heard some bad things about Trigger Finger-I'll look into the Akai
oh and the real site is link
