I think mixits are the bees knees. I want more people to get involved.
How can we do that? I have a friend that Im working with submitting one this month but it was really hard to convince him to do it.
I wish mixits were 30-40 people strong all the time.
so next month? Wanna make a monster mixit guys?? huh do ya? huh?

I try to be a cheerleader for it, but the outfit didn't fit around my hips right...
seriously, though -- I would love more people to be involved, too -- they're always loads of fun. I fear my Mixit reminder posts get on people's nerves, though I try to keep them sparse...

yeah mulletballet, spam away, it's great that you're keeping people informed on a regular basis
dunno if i'll go for it this month, i've started something, but it's pretty busy over here, so perhaps...
thing is, usually I'm not that keen on the stuff I made, but I'm always happy to upload the results
and the comments and reactions are always warm, helpful & encouraging
mixit 4 life!

I love them. I've not done one since this site removed them though.
I don't like doing it via forum. I like the old format.
Has it changed since then?
I'd do it if it has. Is there some sort of greasemonkey script someone could write? A mixit app that sits on top of em411?

I always thought mixits were way more fun when there were like 6 samples

I always wanted to do a mixit... I know vst instruments aren't allowed..just the samples, but what about vst fx, wav editors , etc.
Am I free to mangle the heck out of them?

Yes, you can meddle with the samples all you want. just don't produce sounds that came from somewhere else. effects processors, slicing, dicing, mincing, performing voodoo rituals before rendering -- whatever floats your boat.
