--> it's time.

after 8 monthes of travelling around Australia, it's time for me to come back to france.

so here I am: writing this blog while I'm waiting in an hostel in Sydney for my shuttle to the airport, a bit scared by the 24h flight that will drop me fucked up in Paris tomorrow.

although I'm definitely HAPPY about that travel, the idea of coming back to france really makes me sad.

before leaving in australia, i was struggling all the time to get just as much money to pay my rent (and my beers), deejaying in shitty places (but sometimes in good ones) and doing the odd jobs...

here in australia i got to work as a pianist ( !! crazy isn't it ?) , as a labourer, a gardener, and as a roadie in melbourne.

the last roadie job was totally awesome: physical but with totally cool workmates, well paid, and in a 'family like' company of crew hire service.

it was great, easy going, and it was in melbourne which is a totally awesome place for music and art.

so... sadly now i run back to france and will struggle again, but everything will change, as long as I'm not afraid anymore of trying ANYTHING that I wanna do.

everything is possible, that's what i feel now and the australian people and their lifestyle learnt me that. They give you the chance, they don't judge people, they accept your different (and strange sometimes) behaviour, and working in OZ is totally refreshing when you come from europe.

anyway, one of the first thing that i'll do back home is applying for a permanent resident visa to come back for good in Oz, 'cause france (and our shitty president) has nothing appealing anymore for me.

anyway, there's always the STFU and altough all those negative points, i'm happy to find back my Studio monitors, buy a new sound card and start again to deejay ( but with my brother, who just started to dj) and make the people bouncing.

about the jobs, i definitely want to work in the entertainment and staging industry as a rigger or a basic 'monkey', but i know it will be a hard and long experience here in france.

a new life is just in front of me !

cheers for those who have read that blog !

i wish you good luck and success in all your upcoming endeavours lematt!

france always sounded so nice to me. what gives? i watched the movie sicko and they make france look like some utopian wonderland. please don't tell me it's all smoke and mirrors!

my ladyfriend and i are planning a trip to france. should i now opt for australia instead?

seriously though, good luck on your plans.

france smells of cheese

your feet smell like france

Yeah, I've met a few Australians in NYC, we seem to get along really well, maybe some day I'll visit there.

Certainly the massive cheese aisle i encountered in 1 of the supermarkets there was very pungent
