whilst playing a gig in town last night my friend got felt up.
twice.
i am fucked off. she didn't tell me until we left the venue cos she knew
i would have stamped on his head. she was dancing to my set minding her own business and he felt her up then came back for more.
today i keep getting angry about it.
i have resolved not to play in stupid bars full of stupid people.
i am also backing out of a gig that is sponsered by a rum company that
are twats.

Your gf is probably right to save you from starting a fight and winding up in jail or worse. Fights in bars never go as you plan. But, then again, silence just allows Joe Douchebag to feel up more chicks, so she didn't do them any favors. Perhaps you could tell her you'd feel better if she'd to the bouncer, or the bartender next time, rather than take one for the team (if thats what happened)? Still, I'd be more in favor of a sharp elbow or footstomp ala Ferny and a loud "get your hands of my tits, asshole!" nothing quite puts douchebags in their place than being the center of attention. I don't know if idiots are winning, but they certainly have an easy time getting by.
I am sorry about what happened with your girl. I think a lot of us have been in similar situations at some point. Usually there is security though and things are taken care of. It sounds like this bar was shady anyway. It seems to me these days that we are back to the 80s with "perceptions" and "image" being more important than ability. I actually was told that recently by my boss. What was I going to say back though you know? Hey I'm smart? Forget that. He's a fool and all I can do is leave and get a different job. I feel sort of like I have lied to my old self. I feel like I am taking the easy way out sucking at the coportate teat when I could be living more dangerously. It's tough having a mortgage. Next time she should jab her knuckles in a half fist straight into his voice box, then step to the side and follow it with a hook kick to groin. then everyone in the room will lift her up and start cheering. Her sensei will of course be anoyed by this and stop her training for a while until she learns not to use her skills in a gratifying manner.

I'm not particularly annoyed at drunk people, I really get a kick out of them. gropers are a different story, they piss me off, and I would definitely be dealing with it and not letting it roll.
