Hello all,
Never really introduced myself here. Anyway, I've been doing electronic music for years but have been a guitar player for longer than that. For some reason I can never really fit my guitar stuff into my EM stuff and vice versa, so I'd rather collab. with other people.
I really like the idea of making some part and sending it off to someone else to chop/sample whatever and create something else with it. I'm willing to send random tracks or lay stuff specific stuff on other peoples music all for the sake of collaboration. I'm willing to do anything from weird noodling stuff to tripped out efx ambient stuff.
Let me know if you're interested or if i should just STFU and make tEh Techn0.

You should make some tracks first, and post them... or send them to mixit... I'm sure someone will be interested.

i love using guitar for samples.
i have difficulty figuring out what notes/chords are what though, so including that in the sample name is helpful imo

adcBicycle - I most definetly will be contributing to the next MIXIT. However, I was looking to see if people had specific tracks or ideas that they were looking guitars for.
Also, if people want to request genre specific/or particular styles/sounds. I tend to play a bunch of styles and because of that I tend to finish less pieces. I work well within other peoples constraints. That being said, if people don't have any requests I can just throw down a bunch of phrases, changes, etc.

Tripnik - I've been playing in bands in NYC for the past couple of years, but i've yet to play out with any electronic stuff. Though I am looking to give it a go. Just need to build up some material and figure out how I want to use Live. I'm always down to collaborate though.

Tripnik - Unfortunately, the active bands I was in broke up. The one i'm in full-time right now is recording an album. I've been looking for something interesting but most people I've talked to seem to be Hipsters and/or flakes. Hence, i'm here trying to whore my wares.
nightowl - check your mail.
antfactor - responded to your mail. Great to meet more NY'ers.
A23 - I've found that guitars can have so many places in electronic music, sometimes it's better to leave them totally dry and throw all of the other stuff on top. If you have some tracks you were thinking about guitars for let me know perhaps I can come up with something cool.
Thanks for the responses guys.

I've worked with guitar driven downtempo electronic music on a number of occasions. You can check out the Master Mosquito 12" debut on Bastard Jazz out of Brooklyn to get a taste... as well as check out a couple of as-of-yet unreleased material along with stripes (creative commons by-nc-sa) that we've put together at supersetsounds.com. Check these two out:
Tallboy &
Regalt
Anyway, that's a common grain among a number of people I work with, perhaps we can work on something similar... if you dig what you hear, hit me (via em411 messaging) with some fundamental recordings and maybe we can collaborate.
