--> Hi there emers,

I'm very excited to introduce you to my relaunched website.

It's been quite a long time since I have updated it. Like nearly two years actually. This new one was designed by Mike Grigg, an artist Mixedtape (Joey Trimmer) introduced me to, and it was coded by Joey. They both did a great job. It's an ambitious mix of flash and html, and in my opinion they mix seamlessly.

Lots of new stuff! Here's a map of what you will find...

Music: I have five reworked songs from my upcoming album and two from my first ep, including a remix by Tunng.

New Videos: The Sad Song is now joined by a new one for The Turn which I shot very slowly over the last year all over NYC and Brooklyn. It's similar to Sad Song, but hopefully very different. Also there's a quick one I made with Prugelknaben (aka Nils Christian Fossdal) for Silent Night.

Cluster Performance Videos: Since October '07 I have been recording what I call "Cluster Videos". These are live to digital performances I make of all of my vocal parts without any corrections, that are then interestingly clustered together visually. Right now there's one I did for my song "Puss." I will be exhibiting and recording a new one every month, so please check back a month from now. And if you have any requests, let me know.

Downloads: Right now it's just desktops and avatars, but I am hoping to keep this area very creative as well and want to keep adding new treats. Next month I will be offering the great remixes made by my friends at em411, and there will be more interesting stuff in the future.

Oh, the art on the site was done by Richard Colman. He's an awesome LA-based artist with no front teeth! Seriously, his work is really great and I'm so fortunate to have been able to use this stuff.

Hope you all enjoy the site and please let me know if you find any odd behavior.

The site jommer's and I did to bring all of our feeds into one place. emfeeds.com. Sign up and submit you're RSS feed. Then when you update it will show up there as well. I subscribe to the main emFeeds RSS so I get all the latest blog updates from everyone on there.

AMAZING work!

Those Cluster videos are just SO cool. The perfect live Fredo experience!

Haven't found any secret anything yet, but I'm optimistic.

Great work to all involved!

PS: the songs sound AWESOME too. Everytime I hear one of them I end up listening to the album and then I get my Fredo vinyl out, then I listen to the various mp3s I've collected, then...

I think the album should be called "Ear Crack" ;)

Ohhhhh, the guitar on 'The Original Man' is cool!

thanks fellas. James, just mouse slowly around the page. You're bound to bang into one of the doors. And I'll send your guitar compliment to my cousin's husband, Tony, who recorded it.
PS: cluster request: The Turn? That song's up there in my top 5 favourite songs with God Only Knows, A Day In The Life, Ryan Adams, To Be Young (Is to Be Sad, Is to Be High) and Homefront Cameo.

God, I sound like a stalker. but, yeah, that's my request!

You are very kind, James. I have one in the works, but it's probably going to be for two months from now. But it will be done!

since domain contracts are usually for 3 years, does that mean i can buy your site's address soon?

This site is for sale!

whoo, good website. i feel envy and love now.

the secret doors are genius. nice work!

yes, Mike did an amazing job on those. I had originally hoped they would swing out, but I think his conception is much neater and less cliché. I'm particularly proud of the little bit of sound design I gave him there. If you hold your curser over the door slowly three looped sounds are launched and playout their different loop durations together.
