Saw the documentary. We need more people like this. I don't like what this director is saying, but Bruce... makes me so happy.

bruce hack is awesome. the canadian born student from juilliard art school had an influence on electronic music. he has so many freaking albums its incredible.
I am so sad that this documentary was the only way I could find access to this footage. The director is a self-absorbed twit who's more interested in seeing Bruce Haack as what caused the Chemical Brothers than he is in seeing who Bruce Haack was or why he did any of it.
I agree with both of you.
I DEMAND A HAACK BOXSET! he made a ton of childrens songs albums
I completely agree with you, deltasleep. I hope PBS puts out a better documentary someday. In the mean time, I'll be looking for his albums. I've only found his one major label release so far :-(
Actually, Electric Lucifer reminded me of your music a bit, delta
Theres an comedy actor who was in 'Jam' amongst others, called Kevin Eldon who looks like Bruce..
electric lucifer is so fricking awesome. I have it on vinyl. original pressing. apparently they're easily obtainible.
the early residents remind me of bruce haack alot....especially duckstab. thanks tapirA!
Bruce Haack is a huge influence! So I'm taking that as quite a compliment. If you like Bruce Haack's work on Electric Lucifer, you might also enjoy White Noise- Electric Storm. I really resented how this documentary seemed to find the value of his music in the form of contributing to contemporary music(and weak contemporary music) I feel that BR was an interesting enough person to warrant being studied for his own sake.
