Autechre are doing a live broadcast on the internets tonight at 8pm GMT.

what i think is lame about it isn't that they're doing a DJ set, is that it gets billed as "AUTECHRE LIVE" - to me, that means i'll be hearing Autechre - the band - live. not the two members of autechre doing a DJ set.
it was all over the place, not just a dj set, from what i heard (probably about four hours in bits and pieces)
astroid said: "it was all over the place, not just a dj set, from what i heard (probably about four hours in bits and pieces)" i'm sure there was a ton of stuff that's never been released (or will be released). there was tons of shit i'd never heard before that sounded like them or maybe demos that people sent to skam or just music form whoever that's never come out on any label or something. craque- where was it referred to as a "live set"? i only saw "live radio broadcast" posted so perhaps it's splitting hairs or just a semantic argument.. either way i don't see it as something to get upset about. i guess it could have said "autechre to play music on the radio" but who cares. I heard a rumour that they didnt even play music but sat at the back of the studio checking their email most of the time or were playing solitaire. Apparently, they just wrote some patches in MAX/MSP to do all teh work for them.
damn it! someone needs to get me some of this- i had a legit reason to miss it!!!!!
