I just got back from a lovely mastering session with John McCaig and he totally got a bunch of my songs as close to the butterzone as they could get.
Damn that man has his system sleek and sexy, I had high expectations and I was still blown away.

no, really, the album is long slow and dirty. No IDM here. maybe shoegazer + a small amount of industrial and epic/drone metal influences? It was recorded at the most brutal place on earth, at the bottom of marianas trench, inside a nuclear submarine.

I was listening to this and doing my work and drinking my coffee. the coffee isn't so good and neither is the free piece of chocolate that I have ehre, so during the second tune, I dropped the chocolate into the coffee and now I'm well into the hippy catch and release program and things are going well.

That's all John, no fucking joke. Before my trip to seattle it was a consitpated chunk of sludge.
The biggest change happened to My Paladin... i think he dialed up some massive bass EQ and made it go AWWWK AWWWK KWRRRR RMMMP
