dragonforce is the hardest metal known to man

haha man I remember when I was shown the dragonforce

...imagine if that kid had spent that time actually learning to play a guitar

he needs to spend some time learning some electronics to mod his guitar hero guitar to trigger sounds, then all is not lost!?

yeah someone needs to get that kid a guitar and a teacher, he could bring back the shred 8 years from now.

or can most 10 year olds shred like that in guitar hero these days? i've never played or seen people play guitar hero.

i know my 6 yr old daughter can school people at wii sports tennis, but she would much rather be outside running around or playing frisbee or in my room making music.

if it wasnt guitar hero, it would be virtua fighter... or some other game where he was a fuckign master. so what does it matter if its guitar hero and if hes not playing music? he's just learning button combos. theres kids like that. he'll probably just be another crazy geek when he gets to highschool. give the kid a break. he probably doesnt have many friends cus hes already a geek at school so he plays guitar hero and other games.

i think its even less than learning combos. all these kids do is manage to buffer a sequence of five colors, then repeat it. parents need to stop making these horrible videos.

not so, he's playing in time. guitar hero is a rhythm game, each button-press must be in rhythm with the song. yes, you press the buttons in patterns but they are in time with the rhythm of the guitar playing and relate to the phrases being played. so for one, the game teaches playing in rhythm, a skill needed for playing any instrument. also the game requires memorisation of phrases, which is another skill useful for learning and playing music.

the fish tank is cool
Yeah. I knew someone who spent way too much time playing video games. It's all he did. It's like it was his passion or something. He even traded his skateboard for a SNES back in the day. I swear he finished almost every game you can imagine. It was crazy.

Last I heard he was working in a senior executive position at some silly video game company called "Electronic Arts" or some shit.

What a waste.

yeah, he probably also has a third nipple and webbed toes. he probably just should have been put down.

I've seen Rock Band and I've wondered if I could somehow hook my V-Drums up to it. Drum practice. Heh.

what a little speng.
If that was my kid i'd cut his head off.

c'mon - he's just a kid, having fun. is what we do all that different? just with more expensive toys, that's all. i'm going to call my next track "granular hero" in his honour ;)

i knew a guy who played video games and always won. when a corrupt executive threatend his life's work and lady he actually went into a video game program to fight a bug. the movie Tron was loosely based on his life

he is nothing compared to thad
