--> so just picked up a mpc1000 and threw the JJ OS1 on it..

which from what little i've seen is a huge improvement and looks to have some great features..

this is where it gets fun..

The manual i have is for the akai 1.1 OS..
My mpc has the JJ OS1..
The JJ OS1 builds on the Akai 2.0 OS..
So i have a manual for an outdated OS with a homebrew OS on the mpc...

i just figured this out which explains why there are a couple of things i've not been able to find in the manual..

aye aye aye.. my head hurts..

so i need to get a new manual.. and everything makes sense now.. i downloaded the PDF but i hate reading on the computer.. i want something i can set a cup of coffee on and get those nifty rings on..

ok 14 dollars later and 2 manuals later i'm well sorted!

local print shops rule way quicker/better/friendlier/cheaper/less smelly than kinko's!
