i like the bassline and the space between against the piano part. im also happy with the mix and production... even tho remco (singer) is a out of tune sometimes.. but i love him so its ok.

I like everything about it, except I can't seem to get in the frame of mind to make things like this anymore.

actually... listening back on it, it's not that great. hahahahaha. I don't like the hi hats at all.
I like how the kick and snare sit behind the other stuff.
and how the mixing is all shitty like an educational film, and how the pad/lead sample sounds like there's reverb on it even though it's not.
also I like the transition, how it "opens up" at 1:24.
other than that...meh. I could do better.
how liberating! thank you jdg

i hadn't made any music in quite a while up to that point. i had recently lost my job and decided to take a little time off (thank you, unemployment). i sat down at the computer and that came out. i liked it, listened to it quite a bit, and i was trying to decid what i should do with it until i had listened to it enough times to decide that i needn't do anything else to it. it opened up new vistas of audio exploration for me.

this is up there for me. i love everything about this, ariel's unforced but over-the-top performance, the sparse but very weird orchestration, the juno type string sound, the wacky piano parts, the very unexpected drum bit at the chorus, the bongos and whistling. the song makes me cry because it's ariel's love song to me, and my track was my love poem to her.

great track JDG... I love the fuzz on the bass. Really mysteriously melancholic sounding song, love the delays.

this track is rad.

I've kind of chosen this

track as my favorite for a long time now, but I might eventually change my mind. I haven't really even written a lot of songs.

But for me, it has that mysterious balance between the spiritual content, the composition, and the crazy walls of sound and also some space, and even a beat thrown in for the mix, it's like a ricemutt potpourri, but not all jumbled like sometimes.

nice track jdg. bongos!

hmm. no idea on a favorite track. maybe 'karamaku' from gossamer..

but i like 'lightsabrepolitics' from the Halocline EP a lot too. there's some old sentimental value tracks i dig a lot too

link

and 'removal equation' came out pretty nice i think.

license - nice bass! classic sounding tune.

seanh - what'd you compose that track in? it's very "stanley kubrick" if that makes sense.
astroid - that track is slightly mental. i dig it.

ricemutt - very cinematic. i think this song would melt army men.

love this blog.

I'm never really happy with anything I make. But I love this blog!

pter05 (stands for p terrain 05) - I like this one because it represents the most musically productive time in my life...less distractions at work and home.

from link the second track in the player is my favorite track so far.
i like it because is my first machinedrum/monomachine track, even though it doesn't showcase both machines' full potential, and it's my first all-hardware track in quite some time. but i mostly like the mood of it...

im gonna make an egotastical em411 compilation

my favourite beats ive programmed were for my recent live set - see link (first track in player) those beats being programmed according to a set of rules i made up that comes out with better results than i would have thought of
but i still think i most enjoy 'i saw the tits of a ninja' off the same page- i like it because it wrote and played itself by itself (ok - i told it to do it)- the intro/build up puts a grin on my face every time
