dude i seriously thought this was a joke.
I used to be interested in obama. Then I found out that the man could sit through this kind of bullshit for 20 years.
Now, I will agree that there's a double standard here with people rejecting him over this if they don't reject other candidates for associating with Jerry Fallwell or Pat Robertson.
But I don't buy the bullshit for a second that this proves how well he can compromise.

I think he is jealous of long legs.
When people are so insistent that God is speaking through them, it really makes me disregard what they're saying. I'm not Christian and I don't go to church - is this common, conversion through insults? I mean, I know we are all supposed to be filthy sinners and all, but I'm more familiar with the 'God's love will set you free, you are forgiven etc etc' line of persuasion.
It's sad really, especially in a black church. Maybe it's a 'tough love' approach?
Anyway, I'm not convinced in the least.

Perhaps it's just that no one takes the quieter ones seriously, when they actually should exercise the same level of indifference for the louder nutbags as well. Besides, who could you trust? Pat Robertson said God told him the U.S. should not go to Iraq, and the same deity apparently told Dubya that they should.

If the cooks are coming out of the woodwork before BO even gets the chance to get elected, imagine how easily they will be spotted if he does.

I think after seeing this video, it just proves that the media can convolute and manipulate anything. Obama didn't explode the situation of the original statement that Manning made, the media took his words out of context, and made Manning look bad immediately. This escalated the situation 100 x what it should have been.

I know many people who are personally connected to the Obama's, my gropefruits father is a professor at University of Chicago, as well as other people who know them through the community. They are good people, that have bad associations at times. Manning is just one of those that happened to appear at the wrong time, or right time for those who see it that way. The south side of Chicago is very different place and there are lots of issues such as racism, if you look at the whole city, you will see that racism won and gentrification as well as you wont see black people in any of the neighborhoods any longer, they have been shoved west and south. If you read about Hillary, you will see she has much worse skeletons in her closet, such as mistreating White house staff and even Secret Service people. Wait til the thousands of pages of documents about Hillary come out, I bet there will be years of ineptitude in those..unfortunately it will be too late by the time they do surface.
