Todays Good Friday, so took the kids to a Country Market to see some bargains. Bought some second hand books and some organic apples and the kids took $5 each and bought all sorts of junk
But for $3 I picked up a copy of Warp Records Sampler 1994. Apparently it was an Australia Only CD you got for free when you bought a ticket for the "Warp Australia party"
The track list is:
RAC ... Electro Fish
Rhythm Invention ... Tokyo
Richard H Kirk ... Frequency Band
B12 ... Basic Emotion
Black Dog ... Xepher
Polygon Window ... Quoth
Speedy J ... Pepper
Autechre ... Basscadet (BCDTmix)
Joey Beltram ... Orion
Kenny Larkin ... My Travels
Seefeel ... Spangle (=Sp 03)
So was it worth $3?

Good collection of tracks. I just checked out what RAC track that was and it reminded me how much I liked them. I used to dj at these word of mouth parties 10 years ago and their stuff used to get played a lot by me and an old mate. One time, I dropped a track when a mate and I were heavily tripping and just stood gawping at the sounds and rhythms coming out of the speakers.
I think you got ripped off for $3! ;-)

$3? Maybe $3 Australian, but certainly not worth more than $1.50 US

what you found is interesting and cool. to get a hard copy of those tracks for $3 is worth it(even if you didn't get a jewel case).to clear up any confusion, austrailian money is .90 cents to the american dollar. sorry about that confused bloke who thought his money is worth double. in his defense the television in america is loaded with non-stop propaganda

Joke? WHAT JOKES?
I'd only pay $3 US if it had some of teh Afex Twin on it, but it doesn't. NO AFEX, NO BIG MONEYS.
Or maybe if the compilation had Plaid and Cabaret Voltaire. But it doesn't, so I deem this CD worth only $1.50 US.

I _would_, however, happily pay $10 for a gallon of gasoline, if that helps preserve Freedom™

it's important to have standards. Mr H Kirk and Black Dog are no substitute.
