a-boy, you could totally get 63rd place if you put your heart into it.
keep watching the torrents i guess. i'd set you up myself if i was actually going to participate, but i'm just passing on the news today.
BTW, i think it's a little bogus to be paying for the stems, too, but what're you gonna do. i think the whole thing about the last year of radiohead's career has been investigating other ways for all musicians to make a living. i mean, if NIN can make 1.6 million in a week by posting four albums worth of instrumental also-rans, whiy can't radiohead see if there's a potential to make a living allowing themselves to be remixed.
plus, i know it's the principle that folks are objecting to, not the price tag, but it is only $4.95 - have one less pint next time you hit the pub, skip going to starbucks one day, rifle through your pockets next time you're doing laundry

i'd say the big hit radiohead and nin got with their move is a call for searching new ways of distribution for indy-artists, because once this will be making it into total mainstream. the average joe-electronic, will not see any daylight in this distribution-model anymore.
it'S like always with capitalist-culture. once a different mode of distribution/thinking/acting (whatever) is going to be established, it will be absorbed through the mode of capitalism. the conseuqence is to search new ways. and i think we have just seen the dawn of this process.
it's like deleuze said in postscriptum to the society of control: there's no need for fear nor hope. just to a need to find new weapons.

i was just giving you a hint, that promoting to download copyright protected stuff from some torrent-site is something, that's not liked to be seen at the em411
