SP-404. One of the loops I will be using in performance tonight was made on the bus (of the bus, even).

Awesome! I am looking forward to your set.
I guess the PSP could be added to the list.

I have this idea of getting several devices that are all powered by AA batteries, and then creating a "magazine" for the batteries that has 2 slots, one for fresh batteries and one for fresh and one for drained, color-coded and lined with felt to cut down on stress and billiard-esque noises. It would probably be pretty simple to construct, the toughest part is finding toys that take AAs.
also, this is one of the best deals on rechargeables I've found:

Bhaji's loops + palm = GOD
Nintendo DS + DS10 will be soweet
I also love Daigasso band brothers and the guitar chord one (forget what it's called) on DS
I'm thinking that ipod touch will eventually get some kickass music apps as well...imagine editing on a multitouch...oooh!

Also, the 202 doesn't really save stuff either (unless you bring an MD or tape recorder to save your data via tape save). You'd have to leave it on the whole time, or put it in power save mode when you're done. Power it down and your work is gone.

i'm actually reminded of " stereo total" probably 8 years ago and he did all the music off a su10 with sounds loaded off a mini disc sequenced by by a yamaha qy. so it can be done...
