Cheap, Portable Fun?

--> What are some portable toys that are fun to play with on a plane or on the bus or in the park? Preferably battery operated things you can actually compose on & save work so you can bring the fun home later.

The Numark PT-01 good reviews on it too. The guys on the SP-404 forums I used to frequent loved it.

AFAIK, while the 626 and 707it take AAs to power the memory, they don't run off batteries. No doubt an external battery box could be rigged up though.
I recently bought a korg kpr77 - I like it. Also boss dr110s are fun though they need mods to sync up to other gear. I really want an internal midi interface but it seems that Dtronics dont make them any more, or answer emails for that matter (hi fellas!)
