--> Hmmm, so not sure how this is gonna go down considering the recent excitement on here about 90s piano rave, but here goes...

We as Blood Moon got asked to contribute a track to this comp for Glasgow based netlabel Little Rock Records. The album is supposedly a backlash against the whole New Rave thing. It's basically a load of noisy electronic based bands featuring circuit bending, analogue synths, shouting and noise. Our track is an untitled improvised tune using drums and analogue.

It's out on Monday 28th April to download and there's a taster on their site now here: link

Basically it's really exciting that someone asked us to be on the comp and we didn't have to beg or prostitute ourselves in any way, something that's never happened to me really in all my years of making music.

Can't wait!

will check it out when i'm ready. try to keep in mind you don't have to be "lashing out". i remember being younger and the only ways i could describe my music was through comparision, or like yourself I would come up with elaborate situations to validate the reasons my music sounded the way it did. it takes a lot of practice to make music without any social inhibitions.

no but piano rave is the end of civilisation tho innit?

The term "new rave" refers to kids who listen to rock 'n' roll and wear bright colors. There isn't a single fucking rave piano to be found.

It's actually disappointing to me. I wanted to see raves happening and kids wearing chunky plastic and rave pianos and amen breaks and sirens and 909's and 303's...even if it was fake and corporate. I never got to experience that for myself ='(

new rave is the jump-up of rock 'n' roll.

It's not like i hate new rave or anything really, i just don't listen to any indie music anymore.
I think the comp is a bit tongue in cheek.
I listened to the whole thing the other day. it;s got some breakcore types stuff, some verging on ambeint, some out and out noise etc.
I'll post on here when you can actually get the whole thing like...
